{"id":14,"date":"2022-01-01T13:14:48","date_gmt":"2022-01-01T13:14:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/martinjohnson2stroke.com\/?page_id=14"},"modified":"2023-07-16T13:39:04","modified_gmt":"2023-07-16T13:39:04","slug":"exhausts","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/martinjohnson2stroke.com\/?page_id=14","title":{"rendered":"TZR 250 1KT\/2MA Exhausts"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>TZR 250 Exhausts  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I offer three types of exhaust spec for the original TZR 250, the outright peak hp is pretty much the same for all the exhausts, but where and how they make the power can be different.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Firstly there is the road&nbsp; &#8216;100 spec&#8217;, which performs similarly to the original pipes, peaking at around 9500rpm, but with a stronger feel to the midrange, and of course much less weight and a better sound. The road pipes really benefit from altering the powervalve controller to open the valves sooner, see my page on ypvs controller mods for more info.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"300\" height=\"168\" src=\"https:\/\/martinjohnson2stroke.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/2MApipes-300x168.jpg\" alt=\"TZR road pipes\" class=\"wp-image-62\" srcset=\"https:\/\/martinjohnson2stroke.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/2MApipes-300x168.jpg 300w, https:\/\/martinjohnson2stroke.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/2MApipes-768x431.jpg 768w, https:\/\/martinjohnson2stroke.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/2MApipes.jpg 960w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Next we have the mid-race &#8216;955&#8217; spec, which pushes the power roughly 500rpm higher with extended overrev. This gives a really wide powercurve and is great for road bikes for a little extra performance.
